Children
Opportunities
All
children are encouraged to experience the joy of music! Come participate in these opportunities!
Praise Patrol:
Holly Powers again brings her love for children and music to instill movement and musical expression in preschool and kindergarten children on Wednesday evenings. Children have the opportunity to experience dance, song, and rhythm at an age when these gifts most need to be fostered. The preschool and kindergarten age children will meet for half an hour with “Miss Holly” and then those children in first thru fifth grade, finishing their own musical activity can join them as “Leaders” for a few moments of singing as well. This is a great confidence building experience for your children.
Ages: Preschoool and kindergarten age children
Time: During FLIP, Wednesday afternoons, 4:30
to 5:15 p.m. rooms 205/207
Performance Schedule: The Praise Patrol’s
efforts are not pointed toward performance as much as building enjoyment
and a love for music. However, as music is ready, they will sing
at special occasions on Sunday mornings.
Chaos!
An exciting new music activity is coming Wednesdays this fall! A fun “hands on” activity making music on new and exciting instruments! Perhaps even those you haven’t ever seen before… like maybe, an Australian Didgeridoo… or even more conventional instruments like the flute, saxophone or trumpet… or maybe even a kazoo… or maybe chimes… or who knows what surprises you will experience! If you are between the first and fifth grade, get ready for a fun musical activity with Laurie Ricket and David Teeter as your guides. Those who loved the singing experience they had with “Miss Holly,” can then join her as “Leaders” from 5:00 to 5:15 p.m.
Ages: First through fifth grade
Time: During FLIP, Wednesday afternoons, 4:30
to 5:00 p.m. in the gym
