Unbinding Your Heart: 40 Days of Prayer & Faith Sharing
Pr. Peter will be leading a 40-day Lenten study at Messiah's North County Campus on Wednesdays starting February 22 at 10:00 a.m. each week. The 40-day study will include reading a book by the same title by Martha Grace Reese. The book is witty, engaging, and the culmination of a four-year Lilly Endowment study on faith sharing. The process will teach participants how to pray, to talk about their faith, and to risk sharing their faith beyond the church walls. The Christian Century magazine comments "...the 'don't ask, don't tell' evangelism program will not reverse the trend. Humor, whimsy and joy in the faith will serve us better. Reese's book is written to provoke, to tease and to charm us back into telling our story." Suggested book donation $14.75.
