Don't forget the permission and registration form your child needs for participation in any of the activities. Only one form is needed for Sunday School, youth ministry activities, confirmation and FLIP. Please fill out that form and return to the church office. It is important that Messiah has this information on all young people before they can participate in programs. This is for their health and safety. The safety of Messiah's children is important to us. Please be reminded that Washington State background checks on all people working with children and youth are required. These are updated every two years. Forms are available in the church office. Youth and Young AdultThe youth ministry program provides opportunities for all youth in grades 6-12, plus college age students. There are many options throughout the week for middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) youth along with special fellowship and service events. There is something for everyone and all are welcome! Messiah also connects with college age students, whether they are away at school, or studying here at home. If you fall into this category, please let us know your address. You never know when a surprise might end up in your mailbox! Middle school activities are for those youth entering grades 6-8. The confirmation program is also for students within these grades (students who are entering 9th grade, but not yet confirmed will participate in high school activities). If you are in grades 6-8 and are not part of the confirmation program yet, but would like to be, please contact Jessica at 574-7081 or email. All students (whether enrolled in confirmation or not) are welcome at all activities and classes. Check out the bulletin board in the fellowship hall for upcoming fun activities! Scholarships are always available, when needed, to offset the cost of any youth event. Please contact Jessica for information. Many things are happening at Messiah. Bring a friend. There is something for everyone! |
