“We Care and Share, Serve and Celebrate through God’s Love in Christ.” Messiah Lutheran Church is on the move, actively growing in faith and building on our foundation, Jesus Christ, in sharing God’s love with others. The love of God expressed in the death of his Son, Jesus Christ, saves us, His resurrection assures us and the work of the Holy Spirit moves us to live our lives committed to sharing this love with others. We demonstrate this mission in our daily lives, at home, in our schools, in our work places, at church and in the community.

Messiah is committed to building new ministry based on the resources that God calls to this community. A new person with a joy or passion can bring forth an idea -- a new ministry begins and evolves from that idea with financial, pastoral and wide community support. Built on our founding mission of caring, sharing, serving and celebrating through God’s love in Christ, a wide variety of active programs are led by a strong and devoted community of believers. These ministries are divided into six focus areas, Worship and Music, Christian Education, Community Outreach, Health and Wellness, Caring and Compassion, and Discipleship.

Open enrollment for fall 2013 is taking place now! Messiah Preschool provides a Christian community where children feel well cared for and safe; a place where children are valued as individuals and where their need for attention, approval, and affection are supported; a place where children can be helped to acquire a strong foundation in the knowledge and skills needed for school success. The supervising Preschool board of directors is comprised of Messiah members, most of whom are current or retired educators. Messiah Preschool, a ministry of Messiah Lutheran Church, is certified and a member of and accredited by the ELEA (Evangelical Lutheran Education Association).  

Worship is the most important thing we do. God desires our worship and binds us as community in it. Through worship we are renewed and energized to serve as Christ’s light in our community, work places, homes, and within the church. Messiah’s worship is dynamic and evolving, integrating fresh liturgies, new and traditional musical styles, reading of scripture, the proclamation of God’s Word, prayers and celebration of Holy Communion, all in the context of a truly multi-generational congregation. Every person is invited to share his or her gifts as part of worship. We do so in a spirit of shared responsibility and thankful gratitude.

Messiah North County Revisioning and Breakfast Meetings
This Sunday begins a three-weekend process for re-visioning the mission and ministry of our campus. The sessions will be Sundays from 8:30-9:40a.m. and will include a free breakfast buffet available in our regular meeting room. The session dates are May 19, June 2, and June 9. The Rev. Dr. Melanie Wallschlaeger, Director for Evangelical Mission for the Southwestern Washington Synod of the ELCA, will lead this Sunday's session.
